CyberBirb Enters the Chat [Birb Q&A]

Thanks for making it to the end of game! It was great having you in my first foray into Cyberpunk as a genre and a system. It was a lot of fun. Everyone brought really dynamic, interesting characters.
I apologize that I couldn't fulfill everything I've wanted to do. If there's one thing I've learned, it's that, no matter the size, always have a co-GM.
I'll be posting D8 once the combat is done and an epilogue with some of the developments for different NPCs. You're welcome to post some for your characters, as well.

GLORY TO THE HYPNOBIRB!
Let's see, queries, queries...
1. Most pleasant surprise your own game threw you?
2. Most unpleasant surprise (that you're willing to talk about, of course) that isn't just, "oh crap, a co-GM would be a lifesaver!"
3. Most pleasant surprise the playerbase provided?
4. Most completely unexpected curveball?
5. Why the Crystal Palace in particular?
6. Besides some fairly obvious and/or relatively easy to read results (Alt, Bartmoss), which NPC was happiest with how things went here?

Thanks for running!
I enjoyed the game though given how much npc interaction and how fluid the plot was allowed to develop I do think you picked hard mode to do it without a co-GM.
I decided not to push too hard since, ya know, you were hard at work Hard Modeing the larger plots but could Terri have found the info they were looking for from Harlequin?

1. Having to develop a bunch of new NPCs for the tunnels. They ended up being the most fun for me.
2. I can't say it was a surprise, but some of the drops made me sad. I had plot threads that never got to see the light.
3. The plot. XD There were a lot of questions and loose parts before the players showed up. What their ideas were and what they decided to bite onto ended up filling in a lot of stuff I didn't know at first, like the identity of the Collector.
4. Showtime and Val deciding to blackmail the Collector. That was very unexpected and honestly a lot of fun.
5. ... Space is cool. XD I also wanted to do something a little different than the standard Night City setting for this game.
6. Rat. He had a lot of personal issues and bad memories he's finally gonna be able to get away from and make a decent living for himself. Of the corpos, Magenta. she got a LOT of what she wanted here.
Yeah, that was super dumb on my part, and I apologize that your plot suffered for it. -__- Yes, among the information about the dust up between SovOil and Biotechnica, Terri would have been able to find the names of their parents referred to in one of the emails that pointed to a SovOil [Edit goddamn I'm dumb today] location in NC. If I do a sequel, it'll be set there.

As ever, it was a hell of a game, Birb! And I feel you about the co-GM thing, truly.
I look forward to the coming dawn and the night in the city that will come after!

What could have happened with the heist if we immediately alerted security?
Thanks for running this game and having me.

I'm going to reveal my ignorance, here, but are Angel/Alt and Rache Bartmoss distinct people? Rache Bartmoss/Collector is not some sort of program Angel is running?

Oh! Did the waitress (Miriam's girlfriend) ever end up with a name?

Hey! No questions here, just an out pouring of gratitude and appreciation for all the hard work you put in on bringing this game to us.
Thank you so much for all of your time and attention. I had a blast and hope we can explore this more in the future.

I've said it in private but thanks for a great game, this was my first Birb game and I had a lot of fun. I hope you continue this and find a co-GM so you aren't pulled in so many directions. I know I ate up a lot of your time and that might have pushed some people away, I'm sorry about that.

Mike would've gotten dead in an unplanned way, you would've summoned a horde of guards, Rat probably would've died... it would've been a total mess. And fun!

Yes, they are distinct people. They're friends, but Alt is still processing that he's out there and cognizant and doesn't want to potential get Rachel (the kid in the cryopod) tangled up in whatever he's up to. Yet, anyway.

lawl, no. My random name generator says she's Helen McNab.

No, thank all of
you for being here, giving Cyberpunk a shot, and sticking it out. I appreciate all of you! It was a totally new setting and system for many, and I know some of you gave it a shot just because I was running it. I really appreciate it. It was fun and with a co-GM, it's gonna be a lot better if I decide to run another one. ALSO, thank you all for your patience as I attempted to run this also while settling into my first full time job in a very long time.
